GGG50 F5 Gate Valve
- Body: Ductile Iron(GGGG50)
- Bonnet: Ductile Iron(GGGG50)
- Wedge:Ductile iron coated by NBR or EPDM
- Stem:2Cr13
- Stem nut:Brass
- Gland:Ductile iron or Brass
- O ring:NBR
- Gasket:NBR
- Bonnet Bolts:Steel 8.8+Wax
- Handwheel:Cast Iron(GG25) or Ductile iron(GGG50),or steel
- Body – usually made of cast iron. Provides the framework for the valve and directs the flow.
- Gate/Wedge – the part that actually stops the flow. Often has a sealing surface on the bottom to create a tight shutoff when closed.
- Stem – connects the gate to the actuator on top that lifts it up/down. May be rising or non-rising.
- Packing – seals around the valve stem to prevent leakage. Usually includes packing rings and gland followers.
- Actuator – manual handwheel, electric, pneumatic, etc. Provides the force to move the gate.
- Bonnet – encloses and protects the stem, packing, and gland.
- End Connections – flanged, threaded, socket weld, etc. Allow valve to be connected to pipeline.
- Pressure rating – depends on size, materials of construction, and temperature.
- Testing – hydrostatic shell testing, seat leakage testing, etc. to validate performance.

The GGG50 F5 Gate Valve is a type of gate valve known for its robust construction and high-quality materials. It is commonly used in industrial applications where reliable shut-off and control of fluid flow are essential.
The valve body is made of GGG50 ductile iron, which provides exceptional strength and durability. This material ensures that the gate valve can withstand high pressure and resist corrosion, making it suitable for challenging environments.
The F5 designation refers to the valve’s flanged ends, which enable easy installation and connection to pipelines or other equipment. The flanged ends also ensure a secure and leak-free joint, enhancing the overall performance of the valve.
This gate valve features a wedge-shaped gate that moves perpendicular to the flow direction to control the fluid flow. The gate is carefully designed to provide a tight seal when closed, preventing any leakage or unwanted flow.
To enhance the durability and sealing capability, the GGG50 F5 Gate Valve comes with a resilient seat. The seat, typically made of rubber, offers excellent resilience and sealing properties, ensuring long-term reliability and minimal maintenance requirements.
JHY Valve Group has devoted decades of experience to GGGG50 F5 gate valve . To produce high-quality and constantly improved gate valve, there are 7 major strengths:
1. Body material is GGG40/50 ductile iron, casted in Jhy-self own foundry, which is qualified under EN-GJS-400-15 or EN-GJS-500-7, and the spheroidization rate is over 96%!
2. The duplex stainless steel spindle enables smooth operation, and one piece design makes sure better resistance to axial load and can withstand high operation torques.
3. O-rings inside the cap can guarantee the seal function performing well in the long usage life.
4. Bolts and nuts is DACROMET®or GEOMET® approved, better anti-corrosion to ensure stability.
5. New designed rubber disc encapsulated by Jhy-self ensuring a low operating torque even under high pressure and preventing damage or corrosion generated by the friction.
6. Free wedge nut design, reduces the stem bending forces and enables it to be easily replaced.
7. Before epoxy powder coating, Jhy always do shot blasting on castings, and the powder is WRAS approved. The coating thickness is over 250-300μm sprayed under the temperature over 200℃, which ensures coating surface smooth, strong adhesive and not cracked later. More importantly, the technology adopted is environment friendly.
