Gate-Valve-Manufacturing-Process
At Xhy, our valve manufacturing process integrates advanced technology with meticulous quality control to ensure precision and reliability at every stage. From raw material preparation and spheroidizing to aluminum molding and core making, we uphold rigorous metallurgical standards to produce high-grade cast iron and ductile iron components.
Following the casting and cooling stages, each valve undergoes automated polishing, CNC machining, drilling, and vulcanizing. A protective spray coating is then applied before final assembly and hydrostatic pressure testing. Our streamlined process—completed entirely in-house—ensures consistent quality, faster lead times, and full traceability from foundry to final shipment.
History
2003 to 2010
XHY was established in 2003 in Hebei Province, China, as a specialized gate valve manufacturer. Initially operating a small machining workshop with fewer than 20 employees, the company focused on cast iron gate valves for municipal water supply and construction projects.
Through a commitment to quality and timely delivery, Xhy quickly gained recognition in the local market. During this phase, we launched our first-generation non-rising stem gate valves, which became widely used in regional plumbing systems.
To enhance surface finish and dimensional accuracy, we invested in sand casting and shell mold casting lines — laying a solid foundation for future export-quality valve production.
2011 to 2015
This period marked a turning point as XHY introduced CNC machining centers, automated drilling, and valve pressure testing lines, allowing us to manufacture knife gate valves, globe valves, and resilient seated gate valves that comply with BS, DIN, and ANSI standards.
Our valve solutions began supporting international projects in irrigation, oil & gas, and wastewater management, especially in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
We achieved ISO 9001 certification and implemented rigorous 100% hydraulic testing, reinforcing our reputation for quality. Participating in global expos further helped secure partnerships with OEM clients and global valve distributors.
2016 to 2020
By this time, XHY had grown into a comprehensive valve manufacturer, expanding into ball valves, flanged gate valves, and valve repair kits. We began cooperating with overseas engineering firms across Europe, Russia, and South America, supporting fire protection, mining, and long-distance pipeline systems.
Our R&D team developed corrosion-resistant coatings and ductile iron valve bodies to meet demanding environments. We also launched private-label production for several international brands and introduced our own packaging and labeling system.
A new 20,000 m² production base was established, featuring in-house pattern design, mold casting, assembly workshops, and hydraulic test platforms, enabling end-to-end production control and improved delivery timelines.
2021 to Present
Embracing Industry 4.0, Xhy adopted smart manufacturing systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and real-time order tracking. We now provide custom valve assemblies, including electric and pneumatic actuated valves, meeting the growing demand in oil & gas, power plants, and municipal wastewater systems.
We built a new valve testing lab supporting cycle life testing, salt spray corrosion resistance, and material composition analysis to meet global standards.
Meanwhile, we launched a global e-commerce platform offering spare parts, gate valve repair kits, and downloadable CAD drawings — making technical support more accessible.
